Who are we looking for?
Women of all ages and backgrounds, who are doing something amazing for their community. For each luncheon, there’s a theme around each honoree. The next luncheon, taking place September 2012, will be oriented around future leaders. Do you know a young woman who is wise beyond her years, who takes on a lot of responsibility in community service or in her career? We want to hear about her!
E-mail rsvp@nwasianweekly.com with the name of the person you are nominating and a short paragraph about why you think she’d be a great Women of Color Empowered honoree. We consider every nominee, though unfortunately, we can’t honor everyone. If your nominee is particularly impressive, we’ll reach out to her and ask for additional information for another round of screening. If we ultimately pick her, we’ll notify her by early August and will send her notification that she has received our award. She’ll be a guest of honor at the next luncheon in September 2012 and will have the opportunity to speak in front of a crowd of hundreds.
